Doc’s Journey - Kip, Laika, and Matty
Doc and Matty
Finally, I’m so excited! Torre is here again! That’s 3 days in a row! Three days of playing with Matty, but this time when Torre put Matty in the moving machine; he grabbed me too! I get to go with Torre and Matty.
I’m not sure I like Torre’s moving machine. He put Matty into a smaller box inside the moving machine and then he put me in a different small box. What is it with these humans and their boxes? I was not too sure about this and started to whine my concern. Torre kept telling me I would be ok and Matty wasn’t worried, so I guess I’ll be OK.
When the moving machine stopped, we were at Torre’s building and guess what? Matty and I have a big brother, his name is Kip, and a beautiful sister called Laika. She was laying in the yard and didn’t want to come and say “Hi” to Matty and I.
Torre’s yard is different from mine. It has walls I can see through! Matty and I could see Laika and Kip but we couldn’t get close to them. Oh well, Matty and I will just run and play. We ran up and down and tackled and chewed on each other. Then Torre called Laika and Kip over to the walls so they could smell us and we could smell them. Kip and Laika are so big! I was worried about this, big voice, big puppy, now big brother and sister! Then Torre brought them into the yard with us. Oh man, I’m not ready for this! Maybe if I’m really still and quiet they won’t notice me? Nope! Here comes Kip!
New Yard with see through walls
Kip just sniffed me and then crouched down and started running around. He wants me to chase him! I can do that, I’m FAST! Woah, not as fast as Kip. Matty couldn’t even catch Kip and he’s 4 weeks older than me. We tried! We tried a lot, but couldn’t catch Kip. It was just easier to lay down and chew on Matty. The whole time Laika just sat with Torre and watched us. I don’t think she likes me. She is so beautiful, and those pointy ears! I have never seen ears like that!

All of a sudden Kip starting barking and jumping and a new moving machine arrived. I saw a girl and a little brown dog get out. Kip knew this dog! He was so happy to see them he couldn’t stop moving. Torre said this puppy was our cousin, whatever a cousin is, but I have a new friend. We played so much that even Kip laid down to rest.

That might have been a mistake. I laid down next to Kip and snuggled really close, cause it’s what I did with Mom, I may have chewed too hard on a part of Kip that made him mad. I mean really MAD. He barked and growled and nipped at me. I was afraid I was going to get hurt but Torre was there watching closely so I knew I would be ok. Then Torre laughed and said I probably wouldn’t do that again. Boy, he doesn’t know how right he is. Thankfully, Kip settled down quickly and let me know that he wanted to be friends again. I was scared I didn’t have a big brother anymore.
All this learning how to be a good pup is hard work. Meeting all these new dogs and learning how to play with them. I’m tired and hungry again! I hope I can come and play at Torre’s building more. There is a lot to do here.
