Join Dogs2DogTags for the Admirals Salute to Our Military

We are excited to Co-host this event for the second year in a row at SoLu Estate Winery! Proceeds raised from Vines2Vets will go to helping Dogs2DogTags save more U.S. military veterans and dogs. This is a dog friendly event, but all animals must be on a leash, spayed, or neutered.

If you choose to be a fundraiser, and raise more than $150, your registration fee will be refunded. Top three fundraising participants will receive a fun gift basket! Race day details:

• Check in starts at noon, a table will be setup near the entrance of SoLu. Here you will receive your T-Shirt if applicable. 

• 5K start at 1:30pm

• 1 mile start at 1:35p.m. After you finish your Run/Walk stay and enjoy refreshments at SoLu and check out the band!

• Live Music by Gin Mill Hollow starting at 4pm.

• Food available for purchase from SOLU

Good Old Fashion Poker Run starting at the Sheboygan VFW Post 9156. Registration starts at 9:00am and the run ends at 5:00pm with food and raffles to follow.

WDVA is excited to announce we will be hosting our 7th Annual Wisconsin Women Veterans Retreat Saturday, June 4, 2022. Hosted once again by our great friends at Trinity Equestrian Center (Eau Claire, WI). Event details (including registration information) are forthcoming. Mark you calendars!

Since 1950, Armed Forces Day has served to honor the heroes that have served our country as well as educate our citizens of the different branches in our military. While we commemorate the service and accomplishments of our troops, it’s essential to remember that many are unable to celebrate beside us because they have given all in the line of duty — and for these courageous men and women, we will always remain thankful.

Veteran & Veteran Support organizations who'll be available include: Dogs2DogTags (D2DT), Old Glory Honor Flight (OGHF), American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Local Veteran Motorcycle Clubs, and Experts on Veteran/Widow(er) Benefits. Julie Muhle, Vice Commander of the Wisconsin Department American Legion and candidate for Department Commander has already RSVP'd!

Lunch will be available free of charge to Veterans and their families. Veterans can also get half-priced drinks. There will also be a 50/50 raffle.
